The Church We See
Our current worship center has served us well for many years, but we have grown beyond its capacity. What a great problem to have! The goal of BuildLegacy is not just to raise funds but to build a legacy together. Your contribution, no matter the size, is a vital part of this journey.
The church we see is a 25,000-square-foot worship center designed to accommodate over 1,000 people. It will feature a spacious lobby that serves as a central meeting area for the entire congregation and links the new facilities with the existing ones. Within the new lobby, you’ll find a full-service café, a Guest Services Welcome Center, and restrooms equipped with full amenities.
Phase One consists of the construction of a 16,000 sq. ft. worship facility and lobby. This phase will also feature a 5,000 sq. ft. renovation of current facilities to support our growing Kids and Student ministries. Phase Two will include a 6,000 sq. ft. office suite and conference room.
We see God using this new facility to bless our community and make a difference in the lives of those God has entrusted to us, as well as those who will be entrusted to us. We invite you to be part of this journey by contributing to our BuildLegacy project.

Established in Goldsboro
On Independence Day of 1936, the Church of God was established by 14 people in Goldsboro, NC, after a spirit-filled tent revival on William Street.

1945
Clingman Street Church of God
After years of worshipping in tents, homes, and even on the streets, our congregation bought a plot of land on Clingman Street and constructed our first sanctuary.

1984
New Sanctuary on Clingman Street
Nearly 40 years after constructing the original sanctuary, we built a new worship facility to accommodate our rapidly growing church family.

Goldsboro Worship Center
Under the leadership of Pastor Joseph and Diane Leonard, we purchased a large plot of land on West New Hope Road and constructed our current church building.
